Justice Of The Peace
We are pleased to inform you that a free Justice of the Peace (JP) service is available weekly at Stanhope Village for your convenience.
No prior booking is required for this essential service. The designated JP desk is located just outside Specsavers.
The service operates on Wednesday afternoons from 3 pm to 6 pm and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12pm.

Please note - The final day of JP service will be Saturday 20th of December 2025, returning on Saturday 3rd January 2026.
In addition, for your further convenience, the Dennis Johnson Library, situated within the Stanhope Leisure Centre, also offers JP services:

Gingerbread Decorating
Come along and get into the Christmas spirit, with these tasty workshops! In these festive workshops, kids are able to decorate and enjoy their own gingerbread.

In each 30 minute workshop, participants will be provided with gingerbread and decorating supplies, plus hands on guidance. Young children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity does involve the use of gluten, dairy and other possible allergens.

Pet Photography
Why should your four-legged family members miss out on all the fun? Bring them along for a Santa photo with the whole family. Dress-ups are welcomed, so dress your pet in their best festive outfit to create the paw-fect Christmas memory to cherish for years to come.
Note: Online bookings are essential, and sessions book out quickly. There will be no walk-ins available (no matter how persuasive those puppy eyes may be). Please make sure to be lining up in designated area by Commonwealth Bank.

Please also note that when you book a pet photography session, you are automatically opting in to the below terms and conditions:
Owner/s must be responsible for their pet at all times.
Owner/s must bring waste disposal bags for their pet's use if required. Please note that waste is prohibited from being placed in bins inside the centre.
In the event that any animal exhibits aggressive behaviour, we will ask that they are removed from the centre.
Owner/s must wait at the designated entrance, outside of the centre, prior to your allocated booking time. At the time of your booking, a staff member will meet you at the designated entrance and escort you to the Santa photography set. Pets must be brought into the centre on a lead or in a cage.
Every endeavour will be made to adhere to your booking time, however in the event that another photography session is being completed, we appreciate your patience while the current pet photography session is finishing up.
Which pets are allowed?
Most pets are welcome, including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals
Centre management may at its discretion, remove any animals from the centre
